It is a well-known fact that, as testosterone production decreases with age, so do our libido and sexual function. However, today’s advances in modern medicine and healthcare make it possible for people to enjoy active lifestyles longer than ever before. In other words, it is perfectly fine for seniors to be sexually active.

There are plenty of options nowadays for men and women to remain in good sexual health into their golden years. Hormone replacement therapy has proven to be highly effective for both men and women in boosting vitality and helping them stay sexually active as their natural hormone production begins to slow down due to age. It’s important to remember, however, that there isn’t one universal solution to sexual wellness and each case needs to be addressed individually.

The main takeaway is that it is totally reasonable for seniors to continue having active and satisfying sex lives long after menopause/andropause. Remaining sexually active in senior years can have significant positive effects on a person’s overall health and quality of life.

Make sure you discuss each specific option with your doctor, as not all of them might be appropriate depending on your specific conditions.
